Bergenfield High School Alumni Drama
High School Plays, then and now.

The annual school play is performed the first Friday and Saturday of March each year.
The students are not only actors, but they work backstage as stage managers,
lighting and sound operators, costumers, property persons, stage crew,
ushers and ticket sales persons.

Mirth and Mayhem
To be performed March 3 & 4, 2006.
Mirth and Mayhem, by Peter Walker, is a full-length comedy/thriller
about a group of teenage girls who make a bet to spend the night
in a haunted house where three murders have occurred,
one every 50 years on the same night.  There are some boyfriends
thrown into the mix, along with a television movie crew,
and two jewel thieves.  The tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
The show begins at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium and lasts about 2 hours.

BHS class of 58 - 50 Year Class Reunion

Bergenfield High School Class of 1958
50 Year Class Reunion Weekend
September 26 to 28, 2008

A few months ago we sent to our classmates a 50 year class reunion planning survey. Almost 70 surveys were filled out and returned. We have tried to keep costs reasonable in order to maximize attendance, and to have a memorable weekend for what may be our last major reunion. Here is what we have planned.
  1. Friday Evening- Early dinner at the Park Ridge Marriott Hotel.
  2. Friday Night- Charter bus departure from the Marriott Hotel to attend the Broadway hit play “Jersey Boys”, followed by coffee and dessert at a Jersey diner, before returning to The Marriott.
  3. Saturday Morning- Tour of old BHS school building, now with renovated auditorium, band room, and other areas, and new outdoor Alumni Plaza.
  4. Saturday Afternoon- Following the tour of old BHS, a luncheon picnic/ barbeque at one of the parks in Bergenfield.
  5. Saturday Night- Memorabilia display, reunion cocktail party and dinner dance at the Marriott Hotel.
  6. Sunday Morning- Farewell breakfast at the Marriott Hotel.
We recognize that some classmates may feel the costs are too high, particularly considering the cost of airfare or other expenses. In order to encourage attendance, cost should not prevent any classmates from being with us. Any classmate who feels that the expense is more than he or she can afford to pay can contribute whatever amount is affordable, and take advantage of this opportunity in confidence. Non-classmate spouses or other guests of classmates are asked to pay the full cost of each event, priced as shown. Since the purchase of tickets to Jersey Boys will be subject to availability they must be ordered soon. Tickets will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis if we are oversubscribed. If you want to attend this event, you are urged to complete and return the attached form as soon as possible.
More details will follow in the Spring.
